As the oldest ‘pupils’ in the school the 6th form students set an example to younger pupils in all aspects of behaviour, learning and appearance. 6th form students have this responsibility just by being here and being visible to others.

We therefore expect our 6th form students to come to school dressed in clothes suitable and appropriate for a ‘smart professional / business person’.

Inappropriate dress

Students who arrive for 6th Form inappropriately dressed will be sent home to change. We do not inform parents as a matter of course in these instances.

If a student persistently fails to adhere to the dress code they risk being asked to leave the 6th Form.

In the event of a disagreement between a 6th form student or their parent and the school about what constitutes appropriate clothing for school, the decision of the Head of 6th Form will be final.
