exmresultsCongratulations to all our year 11 pupils who received their GCSE and Btec exam results on Thursday 24th August 2010. Overall they produced another outstanding set of results.

gcse2010_01.jpgThere were many happy faces but also a few tears. Oreoluwa Bankole was one of many jumping for joy.

71% of all entries were passes at grades A*-C, our highest ever figure, nationally the comparable figure was 69% One in five results were at either A* or A grade.

In English 85% of the pupils gained a grade between A*-C, in maths the figure was 72%

Overall summary figures are still being verified and will be shown here as soon as they are available.

Government "League tables" comparing schools using a number of performance indicators, primarily the percentage of pupils gaining 5 or more GCSE at grades A*-C and the percentage of pupils gaining 5 or more GCSE at grades A*-C including English and maths, will not be available until January 2010.
