Positive cases - 12th July 2021
Dear Parent(s)
Following our return to school this morning, it is with regret that I write to inform you that over the weekend one of our students tested positive. As a result of this, we have had to send some of our Year 8 students home who were in close contact with this student. This result was received via a lateral flow test and the student is currently waiting on their PCR test result. This case shows that the benefits of students completing their lateral flow tests and I would like to stress the importance of making sure that students complete their lateral flow tests twice a week regularly and continue to register their results on our Test Register via the link below.
https://testregister.co.uk/app
I would also like to stress that if anyone in your household is showing systems such as a high temperature, cough or loss of taste or smell then your whole household must isolate for 10 days and the person who is showing symptoms must have a PCR test done at a Testing Centre. The school would also need to be informed that your child is isolating due to either themselves or someone in the household having symptoms, so that we can then inform their teachers and organise remote learning for them. Once you have received the PCR test results back whether they are negative or positive, these would then need to be forwarded onto the school at
Yours faithfully
Phil Grundy
