Re: Plans for Thursday, 19th March 2020
Highams Park School will be open for Years 7, 10, 11, 12 and 13 on Thursday 19th March 2020. Year 8 and 9 students should remain at home and complete the work that will be set for them on Firefly. Please can I remind you that tomorrow is one of the three planned reduced days throughout the year so the school will close as planned at the end of period 4 at 1.25pm.
Food will be available for all students at break time, and similar to today, if students from the absent Years 8 and 9 would like to purchase or collect food they should sign in at the 6th Form reception. Students must be in full school uniform, come between 11am and 11.20am, and proceed to the canteen as normal, before then making their way back home.
I fully appreciate the disruption that these changed arrangements cause to you as a family, please be assured that my colleagues are doing their utmost to try and provide each student with continuity of education during this challenging time. Like you, I await the Government announcement at 5pm this evening to inform further plans for the rest of the week.
Arrangements for how school will be organised on Friday, 20th March 2020 will be posted at a similar time tomorrow.
