Further context

As you are aware, the cases for Covid -19 have been rising throughout society as a whole, and over the last few weeks we as a school have also seen a similar increase.  As a school, we are trying to reduce and restrict the spread of the virus hence our re-introduction of the expectation that all students and staff wear face masks, whilst moving around inside the building.

Following further discussion with the LCRC and subsequent to the request for Year 10 students especially to increase the regularity of their testing, can I implore all families to complete the home testing twice a week (Year 10 students to test every day for the next 5 days).  Secondly, that you then ensure that the results are registered via the link below:

 https://testregister.co.uk/app

 During the previous week (15th – 22nd November 2021)  it is disappointing but perhaps not surprising that we only had 229 students that had registered their test results, as shown in the breakdown below.  I firmly believe that the very way of ensuring that we reduce the spread of COVID is by regular testing, and therefore being able to quickly isolate, to prevent the spread of the disease.

Thank you for your cooperation on this matters, we will report the registered test numbers at the same point next week.  Can we please collectively see if we are able to see a significant increase in the number of registered tests.
