Dear Parents

COVID-19 Home Testing Update

It was good to welcome back the students after the Easter break. I hope you managed to have a restful Easter break too.

Following our return to school after the Easter Holidays, students will still need to ensure that they are completing their Home Test Kits for Covid-19. I understand that some students will be running low or have taken their last test this week, but I can confirm that we have received an update from the Department of Education stating that a delivery will be arriving at the end of this week or at the beginning of next week. Once we have received this delivery, we will aim to distribute the testing kits to all students, as quickly as possible.

Previously, all students test kits have come in 2 boxes with 3 tests inside each box. In the explanation below, you will see that depending on the delivery we will either receive 2 boxes per child with 6 tests or 1 box with 7 tests inside. Please be reassured that all students will receive the correct amount of tests to ensure that they continue completing their tests at home.

If your child has taken their last test this week and you did not want to wait for their test kits to be delivered to the school so that your child can bring them home, you are able to order a Home Testing Kit to your home address. Attached to this email is the link you would need to starting process your order. This test kit will provide you with 7 individual tests and will look the same as the ones that have been previously handed out in school. If you have more than one child that attends our school and would like to order them all a home-testing kit via this link, you will only be able to order one pack per household each day. If you are not able to order the home-testing kits via the online link, please call 119 and they will be able to order the kits over the phone for you.

Please remember that your child needs to continue to take their tests at home, twice a week with three to four days between each test.

Please continue to inform the school of any positive results via our email at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

Email from the Department of Education for your information:

Coronavirus (COVID-19) test kit delivery schedule for all provider types
An updated test kit delivery schedule has been published on the schools and colleges document sharing platforms. The delivery schedule covers deliveries planned between Monday 19 and Friday 23 April and will provide you with a delivery date and expected quantity of coronavirus (COVID-19) test kits. An updated delivery schedule will be published on the schools and colleges document sharing platform each week.

If you are receiving a delivery of home test kits, please be aware that, dependent on local supply levels, you may receive boxes containing 7 test kits instead of 3 test kits. If you receive boxes of 7 test kits, then 1 pack of 7 should be given to each staff member or student. If you receive boxes of 3 test kits, then 2 packs of 3 should be given to each staff member or student.

Thank you for your continued support and understanding.

Yours faithfully

Phil Grundy
Principal
